Biden Sleeping At Climate Summit Sparks Criticism

US President Joe Biden seemed to fall asleep on video during a United Nations climate change meeting Monday, drawing both criticism and sympathy.

The president closed his eyes for roughly 20 seconds during the opening statements of the COP26 meeting in Glasgow, Scotland.  As the speech came to a close, an assistant approaches the president, who then opens his eyes and claps.

The video quickly went viral, and as of early Tuesday, it had been seen over 4.6 million times. Some chastised the president for, while others showed sympathy for his jet lag. Biden arrived in Glasgow from Rome where he met with G20 leaders.

Former President Donald Trump was one of the first to chastise Biden for napping during the meet. Despite his repeated statements that the “Global Warming Hoax” was the country’s number one issue, Trump indicated that Biden’s dozing during the conference proved he never truly cared about it.

Trump stated that Biden fell asleep because even he couldn’t stand hearing about global warming any longer. Trump also seized the occasion to air his frustrations about a variety of problems, including the “2020 Presidential Elections Scam,” “the Impeachment Hoax,” and the Mueller Report’s “No Collusion” findings.

Rep. Ronny Jackson, who previously served as White House physician under former Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump also took shots at the president. In a post, Jackson said that it was “painfully obvious” that Biden was not physically or mentally fit to be president.

“It’s EMBARRASSING. He needs to resign. America deserves better than this,” Jackson said.
