Bob Dylan Sells Rights To All His Songs To Universal Music

Iconic singer and songwriter Bob Dylan has agreed to sell his entire catalog of songs to Universal Music. The Nobel Prize-winning singer will be selling the publishing rights to his more than 600 songs.

While the exact amount involved in the deal was not disclosed, industry experts said that Dylan could have demand between $300 million and $500 million for the rights to his works.

The catalog includes all of Dylan’s songs throughout his more than 50-year career. The songs include modern standards like “Tangled Up in Blue” and “Like a Rolling Stone.” Dylan’s catalog is comparable to those written by the Beatles in terms of breadth and cultural influence.
