JoJo Siwa, an actress and YouTube celebrity, is the first Dancing with the Stars participant to be paired with a same-sex partner. Siwa’s partner will be revealed at the season premiere on September 20.
Siwa, 18, revealed her sexuality in a series of TikTok and Instagram videos in January, saying she’s “happy that the world gets to see this side of [her] life.”
“I am so excited to be a part of ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ Season 30, and to be dancing with a girl. I think it’s so cool,” Siwa said.
Siwa has a total of 60.5 million followers on social media and over 3.6 billion YouTube views. Siwa was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People earlier this year.
The final 13 celebrities will be revealed on ABC’s Good Morning America on September 8.
