Taco Bell Launches Annual Free Taco Promo, Get Yours Now

To celebrate Ozzie Albies of the Atlanta Braves’ epic base steal during Game 1 of the World Series, Taco Bell is giving everyone in the U.S. a chance to “steal” their own taco.

The company announced the launch of its new “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” promotion on Thursday. Through the promotion, everyone is entitled to get their free Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos at participating outlets across the country – until supplies last. The company said the promo would be limited to one taco per customer.

Taco Bell’s annual “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” campaign has now returned for the 10th straight year in a row this year. The promo guarantees free tacos if any Braves or Astros player steals a base during the World Series. However, given that MLB players had stolen bases during Taco Bell’s nine prior World Series promos, this year’s promotion was always a foregone conclusion.

Taco Bell also made agreements with the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York, to exhibit this year’s stolen base for a year as part of its 2021 promo.

According to a Taco Bell official, the base has already been delivered to Cooperstown and will be on display within the Braves part of the Hall of Fame’s “Your Team Today” exhibit in the coming days.

For further information on the terms and limitations of Taco Bell’s “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” promo, customers can refer to the company’s website.
