Money Heist Season 5 Preview (Netflix)

‘Money Heist’ Season 5 Episode 1 Review, Right Where We Left Off

The newest chapter of Money Heist begins with a rather gratifying episode named ‘The End of the Road,’ which piques the audience’s interest and sets the tone for the rest of the series. It picks up where Season 4 left off, focusing on what occurred after The Professor is kidnapped by Sierra, a situation that causes problems for Salva’s vigilantes.

Money Heist is not a high-concept show since the central theme—the struggle between the underdogs and the system—is as ancient as time.

Despite this restriction, Money Heist worked because of the intricate interactions between its characters. Raquel, for example, began as The Professor’s adversary before falling in love with him. Fans were taken aback when she eventually joined his group under the moniker Lisbon.

Episode Recap And Review

The first episode of Money Heist Season 5 is excellent since it plays to this strength and uses telling moments to show the relationships between various individuals. A moment in which Tokyo talks about her history with Lisbon is one of the episode’s highlights since it is so emotionally compelling.

In Season 2, Berlin gave his life to save his comrades. The character, on the other hand, remained an integral part of the story, appearing in numerous gripping flashback scenes. He appears in a handful of flashback sequences in Money Heist Season 5 Episode 1 that emphasize a different aspect of his nature, making his impact on the story more apparent.

His talks with a family member who serves as a contrast to the popular figure give the story more dimension. In the following episodes, it’s possible that his “history” may play a significant role in the narrative.

Their Best Performance Yet

Sierra, the vicious inspector with her own method of working, proved to be Money Heist Season 4’s “unexpected gift.” She came across as the ideal vigilante, capable of outwitting even The Professor, a skilled manipulator. The character thrives in the current season, especially in her moments with The Professor.

Because of his ability to absorb the character and bring out his weaknesses, Alvaro Morte was able to bring The Professor to life on the big screen.

He shines in his moments with Sierra, played by Najwa Nimri, and emotes with his eyes like a pro. In their respective positions, Pedro Alonso (Berlin) and Itziar Ituo (Lisbon) both excel.
