After-Prom Party Shooting In Texas Leaves Nine Teenagers Injured

Authorities reported that at least nine teenagers were injured in a shooting incident that took place at an after-prom party in Texas. Fortunately, The injuries sustained by the victims are not believed to be life-threatening. The shooting took place after midnight on Sunday at a residence in County Road 263, north of Jasper, Texas.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office has announced that the investigation is ongoing and people of interest are being questioned. The shooting took place while there were about 250 people present at the party. Most of the victims were taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital while some were transferred to Christus St. Elizabeth in Beaumont for further treatment.

The Jasper School District has released a statement saying their prayers are with the injured and that the district is working with law enforcement officials to bring the perpetrators to justice. The school district has also announced a larger law enforcement presence for the week to ensure student safety, as well as counseling services for those who require assistance.

Police said that a second shooting occurred within the city limits of Jasper on Sunday. They added that there is a possible connection between the two shootings, but the investigation is ongoing. The police have not established any motive for the shootings and are asking anyone with information to contact the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department.
