New Poll Found 60% Of Americans Support Biden’s Vaccination Mandates

An Axios-Ipsos survey showed that 60% of Americans support U.S. President Biden’s vaccination mandate.

The poll, which took place from Sept. 10 to 13, revealed that 60% of respondents agreed that the federal government should mandate all federal employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19, while 39% disagreed.

The findings are consistent with a Morning Consult-Politico survey released Monday, which indicated that 58% of Americans support the private-sector requirement and 56% approve the decision to require most government workers to get vaccinated.

Last week, Biden announced the mandates as part of his plan to get more individuals vaccinated who have yet to receive one shot.

Republicans have slammed Biden since the announcement, claiming that the mandates amount to government overreach. The Republican National Committee and several Republican governors have stated that they will contest the mandates.

According to Tuesday’s poll, while the majority of Americans favor the mandate in general, support is sharply divided along party lines.

More than eight out of 10 Democrats, as well as around 60% of independents, favor both criteria. Only around 30% of Republicans, on the other hand, favor the requirements. The poll also discovered that the number of Americans subject to COVID-19-related obligations at work or in public is gradually increasing.

The poll found that 58% of working Americans now say their employers now require them to wear masks at work, up from 51% in mid-August. It also showed that 25% of respondents indicate their company has implemented a vaccination requirement, up from 19% in mid-August. Despite this, 74% of respondents claimed they had not been forced to get vaccinated.
